Can You Help Us Provide Emotional Support and Learning Opportunities for Children in Palestine?

Since our founding in 1997, Worldwide Orphans (WWO) has been dedicated to supporting children facing the harshest of circumstances. When Haiti experienced its devastating earthquake in 2010, we were there, working tirelessly to support those affected by violence and instability. During the war in Syria in 2012, we initiated programs in Europe specifically designed to support refugees. Most recently, in Ukraine, we launched programming within three months of the 2022 Russian invasion.

Now, in light of the ongoing horrors in the Middle East, thousands of traumatized young children desperately need safe spaces to learn and play. This is why we are seeking your support to launch a special initiative aimed at helping Palestinian children heal and thrive.

Our Plan

Partnering with a local nonprofit renowned for its work in empowering a new generation of values-based Palestinian leadership, we will train hundreds of youth leaders in our unique trauma-informed, play-based learning curriculum. These young leaders, as well-established members of their communities, will be ideally positioned to deliver WWO's vital programs to vulnerable Palestinian children experiencing acute levels of devastation and trauma.

In addition to psycho-social support, learning materials, and toys, our partnership will enable us to provide these children with emergency aid kits, including food and water.

We will deliver these programs in three key locations across the region:

  • Cairo, where thousands of families have fled with little but the clothes on their backs

  • Gaza

  • The West Bank

Why Your Help Matters

The impact of trauma on developing brains is profound. Children exposed to war and violence face significant emotional and psychological challenges. By providing structured support and creating safe, nurturing environments, we can help mitigate these effects and promote healing.
