College Assistance Program
WWO underwrites tuition and living expenses for four young adults, formerly in a teen orphanage. This is the next step in “transforming lives” so that orphans become contributing members of their communities.
"I hope to accomplish everything that I hope for. I wanted badly to attend this college and now I want to finish it. That would mean a lot to me. It already means a lot. I have greater confidence now, have met many people and had new experiences. I have become a much more responsible and hard working person." (Milica Petkovic, Jun 2010)
"I have to put out effort on it, because of the people around me, because my house parents, because of WWO who have helped me, and especially because of myself! Only now I do know what the feeling is when I pass an exam. That means a lot to me. I feel better, like if I am "rising" to the next level. I already feel the difference between what I am now and what I was before this project." (Maja Glisovic, Dec 2009)
