HEALTH
Children who are sick physically or mentally can’t learn, grow and thrive. WWO's care for orphans, including those living with HIV/AIDS, is based on attention to the whole child. Children have scheduled annual well checks, care and treatment. If a child misses an appointment, we know about it and we follow up.
HIV/AIDS Treatment and Training
Since 2003, the treatment and follow-up care of orphans with HIV/AIDS has been a WWO priority in Vietnam and Ethiopia, as has the training of in-country medical professionals by WWO’s volunteer team of pediatric AIDS specialists from Columbia University.

Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Care
WWO HIV/AIDS care offers comprehensive treatment and continued care of orphans and vulnerable children, and adult family members with HIV/AIDS. By having all services, including HIV counseling and testing, labs and a pharmacy at one site, and by employing local professionals, our clinic promotes wellness and encourages all to seek care by providing medical, social services and peer counseling support – all in one place.
