Until 2009, "Kind Hands" Early Intervention (EI) Program based in two orphanages on the outskirts of Baku, Azerbaijan, addressed the needs of the most developmentally-delayed children in these homes – those most in need of the unique, one-on-one relationship that is a hallmark of WWO’s early intervention programs. In partnership with WWO, United Aid for Azerbaijan, recruited volunteers from the communities surrounding both orphanages. The volunteer program was so successful that people from the community came to us to ask about vacancies!
